Truly remarkable rework of the spit, checked most of the problems that existed and they vanished, most complete spit package to date.

I think, that there are some unannounced little changes to fm like mach-tuck behavior fixed and the rudder strength changed.

A pity, that we don't have a new artificial horizon, but well, maybe some other time. 8)

EZDOK owners don't forget to rerun the config utility as I did first time out in the patched spit, wondered why all my outside views were all over the place.

Good point. We just now updated the installer with a little aircraft.cfg backup routine. Nothing else has changed but this will at least help those who download it now and after to not lose their paints.

Scott.
Awww cr@p I knew I'd forget to do something  Now I gotta reinstall 20,000 paints  Just my luck.

Well I trimmed my repaints down a bit. So I saved on some disk space  Just did a test flight and at first I thought WTF, my rad boiling already I've only just taken off. But then I realised I was using FAR TOO MUCH throttle. This new spit cruises at a very low throttle setting for me. I barely have to move it. But once I got used to what was going on, it was a very successful flight. I'm liking this even more than I did before, thanks guys. She's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

Is the Spitfire Mk IIa P7308 calling up the mark 1a model in the aircraft.cfg file?

EDIT : Ignore me. Messing up ones own cfg file then getting confused with the changes are a sign of my getting older.

Thanks Scott, sort of like a bucket list for each plane. By the way I hate jets, always have but really looking forward to the 104. I bought the first Strike Fighters sim just because it had a 104 in it.

The update will automatically update your DirectX version, or do nothing if you have the latest version.

I want to say a big "Thank You" to the whole A2A-Team, the Spitfire is now finally a dream come true. The new heat-up and cool-down behaviour does make more sense indeed, I find it more "controllable".

Looking forward to the P-40!!
Best Regards,
Ralf
