A2A Wings of Silver CUB Manual page 48..this is ALSO covered in the A2A Accu-Sim CUB Manual page 42.

It's simple enough.

1. get into the VC
2. set parking brake
3. switch mags on
4. check that fuel is on.
5. operate hand primer 3 or 4 strokes
6. press 'A' key four times to get you outside in 'hand-cranking position'
7. using the mouse flip the prop through till it starts.

Have fUN.....

It's JUST a SIMULATION ;)
Happy SKIES to ALL :) :) :)

Another 'FUN THING to do with the "CUB" is Air Starting....

In the Accu-Sim Manual page #43..such FUN..hey I enjoyed the flight descriptions with Hiedie and otherwise..

Anyway air starting is a thrill and is easy to do...much safer in FSX too! More fun now that I figured out the M key and MAG select...

I do not want to create a new topic so I ask here. Do I remember correctly that I have to continue a saved flight to accumulate engine hours with the Cub? Whenever I start free flight the counter start all over again, is that right?
We have clearance, Clarence.

Made a quick Table of Contents check and found....

A2A Wings of Silver J3 CUB Manual (not the Accu-Sim Manual) page #30...discusses engine and airframe hours, accumulations, overhauls, etc...

No this is not right. If you have the accu-sim cub then you should just add hours as you fly. If this is not happening please reinstall making sure you right click and installer and select run as admin. Alternatively you can try manually deleting the dat file for new ones to be generated incase of corruption.

Thanks. I have the accusim Cub. It looks that hours are added. Should the fuel quantity be saved as well?

MMMMmmmmmmm, this has changed and I cannot remember from the top of my head if fuel was saved for the early cub or not. Also worth noting that there is a service pack for the cub that fixes a couple issues but also adds a ton of new features etc

With the latest fixes, the fuel quantity is definitely saved when you save a flight. The oil quantity is saved to the extent that if you save with a quart low, you will load with a quart low. I've been saving my flights each time and have gone well beyond the time it should take to use that first quart of oil, but it always shows as full before and after my short flights. I may eventually find that the oil is down a quart.

It would have been nice if fuel and oil quantites carried over even if you didn't save a flight but started with a new aircraft each time. The hours definitely accumulate properlly.

And... two short flights later the oil is finally down a quart. Looks like oil level is saved with the saved flight properly.
