Has anybody done a Cub with the red and white stripes on the rudder (and the blue vertical) like the old P-40s? I now have this image on my wallpaper, and I would download it if it was available for the A2A Cub with a N or NC number.

Image

I really like the rudder, and the star with the little red ball in it. Way cool. I just wish it was 1) available for the A2A Cub, and 2) it had US registry. OK. One more thing: imagine how cool it would be if it had Heidi in a serious nose art pose, like something you might see on a F-105 out of Takli. Oh yeah. Sorry - slight non-PC moment there.

Am I missing something? Like an interior paintkit? :?

I've just been using the v4 interior to create a kit. There wasn't one included like the original kit.

Shades of Carenado!

I probably need some correction here, but I've taken my old Cub paints, renamed them to the current mode and they seem to work just fine. Aren't they supposed to be saved as dxt1 as opposed to 5? I did that with a couple of them and I'm damned if I can tell the difference.

Yes Ron, dxt1 no alpha. The interiors I've done so far haven't been too hard to create. I can clean the two sheets up and try and get you a kit for the interior if you want. Probably be the weekend though.

Wouldn't you know? I saved them as DXT1 forgetting the 'no alpha' bit. Thanks for that, I've put them right now. I expect there'll be a proper interior paint kit any time soon and as I'm still wrestling with a Carenado C421 atm, I'm content to wait. I posted a link to the new converts on the finished paints thread.
Cheers, Ron

hey Ron, sorry just like the original and nearly all of our aircraft and other developers, we don't have interior paintkits for the cockpits.

Well theres egg on my face, typical the cub was the one that included them lol

Well anyway, no plans to add it at the moment, but I will raise it with the team today incase we can slide it in somewhere between the multitude of on going works atm. In the meantime, you can still repaint as normal using the existing files, for interior and exterior.

thanks,
Lewis
