maybe for help pulling wires to the gauges? or a modified shaft to the fuel tank for inflight refueling :D

It's a screen de-mister slot. Stops fog gathering on the screen when flying at, or above :lol: 25,000 feet

Rubbish, the Cub's service ceiling is 11,500 ft. I think its a barf bag dispenser.

I thought it was a vent for Heidi to use as a blow dryer. :mrgreen:


Added: After giving this a little bit of real thought on this it might be the vent for the heat. But that is just a thought. Would be nice to know what it really is for.

I saw it in real life a few years ago at YMUR Whittle Field, Murwillumbah, NSW, Australia doing circuits flown by a 90-yr-old. It's the one I always fly.
