I usually fly with "Fun" Heidi. I am not sure how many variables are considered, such as position of the sun, wind chill (with door open) and humidity; but overall Heidi seems different than most women I know. If they were wearing a sleeveless top they would complain about cold long before fifty degrees, and they would probably tolerate a bit more than seventy five degrees before inquiring as to the availability of air conditioning.
My second suggestion is this... Once Hedi says she is cold, there is a risk of overheating the cabin and constantly popping up a window to check cabin temp takes away from the experience. How about a simple "tube" thermometer stuck on the forward overhead bulkhead to the left or right of Heidi's head? Not usually found in the real world I admit, but in the real world the pilot can feel his cabin air. To keep everyone happy it can be off by default and appear with a click spot. To make it easier to read the range of temp could be reduced, maybe 32 degrees to around 90 or so...
BTW, thank you for another excellent product!!!

Re: Keeping Heidi comfortable
Shalomar,
Sticking a tube thermometer was discussed in detail in the final stages of the product, but that never made it in. We also gave Heidi a bit of more resistance to the weather changes, since this is a very new feature to all. We can elaborate and expand as we move forward for sure.

Semi-related question - not to get all Barbie about it, but it looks like Hedi is going to need some alternate clothing at some point. Doesn't look right now like she's up for Alaskan winters...Scott - A2A wrote:Shalomar,

Is a winterized Heidi a possibility?

Re: Keeping Heidi comfortable
Putting clothing on a 3d model requires a new 3dmodel. This is wht we used a simplier texture based solution for the ski model, just to keep the project from getting overly heavy (this little Cub is the largest A2A product to date).
Heidi is our pioneer into this new direction and platform. We are using her as a base as we move forward.

Hehe, yeah I noticed that too. At 75°F / 24° C Heidi already complains about the heat. In my experience most women only begin feeling comfortable at that temperature, some of which would still ask for a blanket. But I can relate to Heidi... 24° C is already too hot for me either.
Re: Keeping Heidi comfortable
Understood. Heidi will just have to cope with the weather...Scott - A2A wrote:Putting clothing on a 3d model requires a new 3dmodel. And if she can do that, maybe she qualifies as Feral Heidi...

Re: Keeping Heidi comfortable
I know from my experience with flying and women...my instructor always used to have the heat in the cockpit cranked up all the way. Sometimes to the point that I would start to feel sick. Luckily in the Diamond Eclipse, the heat control is right next to the throttle so I could slowly move the cabin heat down while she wasn't looking.
I think Heidi is really cool. Actually, I wasn't going to buy the Cub at all until I watched the video and saw that Heidi was a part of the package. She is a great leap forward for flight sims and I can't wait to see how this technology gets further developed!

I guess you don't know many Canadian women Jigsaw.Jigsaw wrote:At 75°F / 24° C Heidi already complains about the heat. In my experience most women only begin feeling comfortable at that temperature, some of which would still ask for a blanket.
Up here some of them still wear shorts and mini skirts with snow on the ground!
My wife wants a bedroom window open with frost on the ground!

OK Scott, so I wasn't the first to think of it...
Looking forward to the elaboration and expansion...
