This is a work in progress of a military paint for the Piper Cub, based on the G-BWEZ aircraft: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Piper-J- ... 2da2889d49

Is it correct that the black and white stripes on the fuselage go only up to the roundel but not all around the tail?

I think my paint is ready. Please tell me if you can find any noteworthy issues, otherwise I'm gonna upload it in a few minutes. As you can see I tried to give it a weatherd look, not only on the outside but also on the inside:

I think that looks terrific! Thank you for including the weathering - those footprints are amazing :D

Is there any grime on the glass?

Great choice and great execution. It's clear to me that you don't travel with Heidi.

I woudn't make that white on the stripes and stars so white... Whites and blacks are never 100% in real life.
regards
ROB

The engine is very clean, compared to other parts. Ah well, maybe it was recently overhauled ;)

I agree with Rob on this one plus MSFS (both FS9 and FSX) has a known problem where it 'bleaches out' the whites and makes the black too dark. I use RGB values of 245, 245, 245 for white and 8, 8, 8 for black and that seems to work well for me.

Thanks! I used those values. There is nothing that I could do about the engine, though. Its textures aren't part of the paint kit and I don't think that I'm allowed to uses them and include them in a repaint.

Slight delay here. I decided to add the floats as well and now I'm off to the movies (District 9!). I'm gonna fix up the readme and upload it when I'm back. ;)

I think you'll probably wish you stayed at home, I know I did :?

Dirty, weathered metal floats? With a green-algae water line?

Nice work.....but if you want me to give some feedback...here it is:

REMOVE THE TUNDRA TIRES!!! Never seen an L-4 like that and it's not historically accurate  *

*Then again, we don't have the plexiglass housing in the back like the real L-4s. Oh well, still, beautiful job..best one yet.

That paint looks really good. Can't wait to fly it myself.

The models are interchangeable. You can use the standard tire version easily, it used the same texture file. You can't simply use the floater since the floats are in a separate texture but going from tundra to standard and vice versa is a matter of copying the folder into the different model directory.
