Problems

Post by mtmike1981 »

Hello All,

Bought the cub yesterday and installed it. A few problems im having is that for one the door doesnt remain open on the aircraft it opens and slams shut. it also does this on all aircraft after installing the cub. Second when it does open it doesn change the sound at all as advertised. Third when I go outside to prop start the plane I get the hand to grab the prop with and it shows it grabbing it but it will not move it. I thought since i have several addons in fsx that i would uninstall and get a fresh start. I installed fsx, sp1 then sp2 and i did delete anyfiles associated with fsx in my apps area. Reinstalled the cub with just these updates and still will not work. Help me im very frustraited and cant wait to use the cub to its fullest extent.

I have never heard of a door not staying opened and slamming shut. There is also nothing we can do to affect other aircraft in FSX. Does anyone have any suggestions for this guy as this seems to be an issue with FSX in general.

Regarding the other questions, do you have the Accu-Sim expansion pack? This includes the features not in FSX, like the sound engine, hand starting, etc.

There is a slight delay when you click on the door...Click once and give the old worn out latch time to work.

Regarding weird door behaviour - sometimes I have the same problem, but it seems to not be conected with Piper. I just restart FSX and it helps. What is curious - the first time I have noticed slamming door was during A2A Bf109 flight

The doors will slam shut in any plane if your parked at the fuel pumps.

How about look if the "Enable Advanced Animations" check is "checked" in the config options of FSX?
This happened to me before!!!

I see. Sorry im new to a2a aircraft and was not aware that you had to buy the expansion pack seperately to give you these features. Didnt say in the promotional videos. Guess I should of read better. Well i guess my hand will be dipping into my wallet again and I will be sleeping on the couch for another week. LOL

By the way I was parked at the fuel pumps when trying to open the doors. thanks again to everyone for the help
