The Breitling Fighter repaint...

Has any one repainted the Breitling mustang, E2-Z?
here's a photo link...

I've always had an obsession with the Breitling team since I watched them at Biggin Hill in 2000, i was only six :D

Looks fine!
All it needs now is the number on the wheel doors..are you sure about that camo color though?

Cheers...
This is my first P-51 Repaint and I am still experimenting with colour. Also, I am still trying to work out what each bit does on the photoshop template.
:? I do have one question, though. On all of your repaints, the quality is very clear on rivets etc.
But on mine, when i convert to DDS format, the paint works but is slightly blurred, eg the Breitling fighters Logo.
Do you know what i'm doing wrong?

you're probably saving it with mipmaps on.
If you're using dxtbmp, there's a small area on the right where you can save with or without mipmaps. Off gives you sharp textures

Thanks for this, Jankees. Till now I've been using "DDS Convertor 2", which doesn't allow you to turn off mipmaps. This has made all the difference.
But before you think you've got away I do have one more question...

I have almost finished the Breitling P-51, but "P-51D_t" DDS file won't show up on FSX when I load the plane. This is just plain annoying as I have battled with editing for around an hour now and am still lost as to what to do.
Have you ever encountered this problem?

There is no "P-51D_t" texture file called for by the model.....the main external textures are numbered "P-51D1_t" to "P-51D5_t". It looks like you have a typo in the filename somewhere.

Sorry I did mean to write "P-51D1_t" DDS file wouldn't show up.
I have saved the file again and retried, now it works fine and here it is...

I have been trying to get permission @ sim-outhouse to upload my repaints, and they keep on ignoring my requests

The paint looks great and the green looks much better but as JanKees pointed out you need the 221 across the wheel doors to make it complete. Hope you get it uploaded 'cause I wants it!

I am still fiddling about with the "221" that should be on the gear doors.

Here's a video that my dad took featuring this P-51 at Biggin Hill.
