Aircraft Factory F4U Corsair 3rd Party EXPANSION released!

Post by fsxar177 »

Good-day to all,

**With generous, and kind permission from A2A Simulations**

I announce the release of this free expansion pack, for the excellent payware Aircraft Factory F4U-1 Corsair for FSX.

Image

THIS IS NOT A STAND-ALONE RELEASE!

The original payware product from Aircraft Factory/A2A Simulations is required. This free expansion will not function without the prior purchase and installation of the original add-on.

This is not an upgrade/update, nor is it a release affiliated with Aircraft Factory, or A2A Simulations. It is, however, made possible by their support, and permission.

This expansion includes;
New model materials
New historic racer liveries
New Flight Dynamics Model
New systems modelling

If you have not as to date purchased the original AF Corsair, there is no better time than now! Find it in the A2A store, currently listed at a very conservative, and bargain price!

This expantion contains over 1GB of material. The compressed auto-installer is 147mb. It is, for the time being, being offered exclusively at FASA.

For details on this expansion, and the download link, visit:
http://www.fsxairsports.com/air_racing/ ... Expansion/

We recommend you read the handbook supplied with this expansion pack, prior to attempting to fly the aircraft!

Tailwinds!

Bought the F4U last night and then installed the expansion straight away.

Very, very nice.

Well thank-you Bob!

Very exciting for us to see users here, and on other forums, who have found new life in this product, and some even enough to purchase it for the first time!

Makes it all worth-while.

I also got the corsair and the expansion pack yesterday, Both are much better than I was expecting.
Accu-feel works very well with this combination.

Note to Admin (Joseph),
I have just about everything A2A has made and the Corsair is one of my favorite aircraft, so I read the downloadable info you provided for the Corsair while it was downloading. The download went fine but my Norton 360 immediately "saved" me from imminent ruination by recognizing it as a virus and deleting it immediately. Didn't even ask. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a MilViz type thing, or is there really a problem with it? I was tempted to disable Norton (Milviz technique), because I looked around the forums and could see no problem, but I thought I better ask. Thanks for any help with this and for your hard work and interest. (I also posted this on your site)

If you click on the onerous warning, you can restore the file and mark it as OK. 360 does this to me all the time.

I also have Norton 360. I got the message that the file might be damaging, but was given the choice to run it anyway.

It is a little tricky flying the corsair in the Reno Race. Keep an eye on your cylinder head temperture.
