P-47 Throttle Quadrant Project...

Post by fu_manchu_72 »

Everyone, Just thought I would share the completion of my P-47 Throttle quadrant Project. After nearly three months of weekends, waiting on parts, scrounging for tools and mysterious trips to the machine shop at work, I am glad to say its done.

Some may say that this is crude but it is fully fuctional, and provides a sense of what it must be like to fly the real Thunderbolt. The first thing that I noticed about it was just after takeoff, I have a natural tendency, not to look down, just feel where the prop is, and slightly reduce RPM, after having just reduced the throttle a bit. Looking forward to using it on future A2A aircraft.
