I just picked up PowerPack. I really like the improvements for FS9 ... the cherubish B-17 pilots of two years ago have grown to be fine young men.
The inclusion of the WWII Fighters Mustang on the FS side was an unexpected surprise. Too bad for me that I already have the WWII Fighters CD-ROM. Oh well, I benefitted from the surprise Bf 109E variants in the WWII Fighters update patch so Shockwave has been fair in my book.

The box only advertises the FirePower P-51D, but when you arrive at the install screen it is quartered with four choices:
1. Wings of Power Heavy Bombers and Jets
2. WWII Fighters P-51D
3. FirePower
4. Bonus P-51D for FirePower.
The two P-51D packages together take up the lower half of the screen, with WWII Fighters version being at the left and the FirePower version being at the right.
Hopefully I'm giving away a trade secret here, especially now that the Solo Online store is now selling the WWIIF P-51D.

I’m not sure I understand your answer, Scott. I know the Powerpack Mustang is the same as the WWII Fighters one, for my WWII Fighters P-51 was overwritten when I installed the Powerpack P-51. For example: in the aircraft.cfg file I lost the entries of the extra skins that I had added. But for WWII Fighters there was a patch 1.2. So my question is: have the changes to the P-51 (if any) in the WWII Fighters patch 1.2 also been applied to toe Powerpack Mustang or is it the original (unpatched) WWII Fighters Mustang?

Stickshaker,
You don't want to install the P51 included with powerpack if you already have WWII FIGHTERS, since it has the P51. If you did this, install WWII FIGHTERS again.
PowerPACK is directly aimed at those who have not yet discovered Shockwave. We put the P51 in there long before the Solo came out, and it is really just there to show people how improved Wings if POWER II is.
Scott.
