repaints for my fighters

I hope this dont seem to stupid,But I'am really new at flight sim,I have purchased ww2 fighters and wanting to change skins of my fighters.Do I need some kind of software programe.Are can i download skins off the internet somewhere.If I need some kinf of program what is the popular program. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

You can download new paints, I always go to avsim.com and flightsim.com

You need to register but thats all free.

Do I need some kind of software programe.

The only software you will need is a text editor to edit your "aircraft.cfg" file. Almost all repaints will come with instruction on exactly what to change in that file (which is just a text file).
