Need some help on an INTERESTING addon by Schioler-Bolero Ferry Flights using WOP B-17's. I know this is not the forum for this problem, but I can't get hold of the developer. I have loaded his program correctly- Traffic to world scenery-Scenery to Scenery-Flights to Flights and the WOP B-17 and P-38 addons. I keep getting a window when I click on the flights telling me the B-17G A Bit O' Lace has not initialized? The program will continue to load the C172 and no flight plan? The P-38 will load but no flight plan? I reloaded your complete WOP files and added the aircraft texture addons and still no go. It may be a bad program waiting for a fix???????

If you can't help because this is an addon I'll understand

Thanks in advance

Hi TBenn, I have this addon and it works good for the most part. If the B17 wont load, maybe it is not installed correctly? Try creating a flight with that B17 repaint and see what happens.

Do you have that repaint installed? It is an addon repaint and not a stock wop one. If you havent downloaded and installed that repaint then flight sim thinks the default aircraft for that flight isnt there.

Do you mean the FIVE repaints that the developer has listed or one special repaint?? I have the Wop B-17G A Bit o Lace and the five required addons installed correctly.

I have the exact same problem; Bit-O-Lace will not come up. I spent hours carefully downloading planes, repaints, and scenery, not to mention the time I spent slowly following all the instructions to get it right. The other problem I found was trying to fly formation with another like airplane (AI B-17 and you in a B-17). If you have never noticed, FS2004 AI airplanes will out accelerate and climb any like airplane you may be flying. It just takes too long for you to catch (If you can) the AI airplane to fly formation with it. I now cheat alittle; when I bring up the selected Operation Bolero Select a Flight I change my airplane to the fighter of my choice and now I have the power to stay with the bomber. After I am airbourne and leveled off I will now change my fighter airplane back to a bomber to make screen shots and fly formation. I also like to escort the B-17s with my WoP P-47 or P-51. Every now and then I will fly my WoP Me109 and make mock straffing runs on the B-17s; if I only had guns that would shoot! My small avatar pic that you see is me jumping a WoP B-17 with a Wop Me109. If you find a fix before the rest of us do let us know!

Hi all. first off make sure to copy exactly the new plane cfg to the orig cfg and go up one number for each addon. Second, copy all texture files of the orig B17 to the addon texture folder and overwrite any files with the same name. All AI AC will climb faster than you can, but you can catch up, or you can change the AI cruise speed by setting reference speed in the cfg file to something that you want. Also there is a download from microsoft called traffic tool box that lets you take control of any AI AC. Hope this helps.

robert41,

Thanks for the information on how to handle AI traffic in Operation Bolero.

Operation Bolero File

the_soupdragon,

I downloaded my Operation Bolero file (bolero1.zip) off of FlightSim.com.

Once you download and open the file you will have to read the installation instructions carefully, as it will require several other files (Planes and Scenery) to be downloaded and installed as well. The instructions will give you the file names of all the other required files necessary. Print out the installation instructions and check off each step as you accomplish it.

Good luck and have fun flying formation with the B-17s.
