Climbing out for another oceanic long haul.
Sorry for the huge size but I didn't have the heart to chop this one. It's one of those shots that gives me the feeling of what it must have been like for these magnificant aircraft spending most of their time over water on some of the longest missions of the war.

That's what it was like sometimes, but most times we saw those brilliant white fluffy cathedrals in the sky as towering cumulous, against a background of blue, with shafts of sunlight shining beween them.FAC257 wrote:Climbing out for another oceanic long haul.

So, are you going to release those beauties anytime soon?
BTW...If you ever feel like trying your hand at a B-29 named "Lucky Lady", or a B-24J named "Crash Kids" let me know.
"Crash Kids" would be very special....I happen to know the pilot!
Wasn't "Lucky Lady" the '29 that flew nonstop around the world with Col. "Cruise Control" Irvine the Flight Engineer?
