Okay we got a weekend coming up.
Who wants to do what this weekend?
I can fly either mission or just practice stuff. Or, I can stay off line and work on the bomb sighting target scenery.

Weekend 11/19/05
Snuffy
I'm game!! I think if where going to get our timing down we should practice at least one more time utilizing the same airports!
Last week, DJ and I re-flew the mission on Saturday - with a 35 minute split he caught me at the 2nd turn!
Since I really don't know where the proper "join up" spot should be, I will only assume that it should be prior too or at the first turn - but again I'm only assuming, I'm NOT well versed in this stuff yet!!!
So based on all that, I just need to know when - I'll probably fly a fighter this time however I found out know body see's "Double Trouble" so I'll have to use something else!!!!!!!!!!

Well, since anytime after 18:00 CST on Friday night is good for me - lets throw some choices out and see which one gets favored the most!!! OR see if we can come up with better times!!
ALL times will be CST! ALL times will be for bomber departures (since they have to depart first! And at this point I will assume that we'll do the same run again!!
Friday night - 19:00
Saturday morning - 09:00
Saturday afternoon - 13:00
Sunday morning - 09:00
Keep in mind, this is just to get a "feel" of what would fit into eveyone's schedule - like to have as many as possible. We can finalize everything -say - tomorrow night!!!

I was thinking about posting a reminder about aircraft texture aliasing when I saw your message....
>>>>I found out know body see's "Double Trouble" so I'll have to use something else!!!!!!!!!! <<<<<
You can use your "Double Trouble" and still have everyone else see P-51s instead o f Cessnas.
As with all of the aircraft, if everybdy does not have the same texures that you are flying they won't see your correct aircraft. A person flying with you in this situation will see your aircraft as either a default Cessna or the same aircraft that they are flying.
As an example, when I joined you guys last week I knew that several of the guys were flying B-17s but yet what I saw on my end was something different and most likely caused by folks flying something other than the default WOP aircraft.
We can solve this problem and allow everybody to fly their favorite custom paint schemes if everybody would alias the aircraft they are flying to a one of the default WOP aircraft textures of the same model.
This is very easy to do. First thing is to open up the aircraft.cfg file for the aircraft you want to use. Find the section of this file that corresponds to your custom aircraft paint scheme.
The second line of your aircraft's data section will read something like
"Title=P-51 Double Trouble".
There are only two things you need to change. First off copy and paste the
"Title=" line from one of the default P-51s to the Double Trouble's section and REM out the real Double Trouble's title line.
It should now look something like this
Title=P-51 Crogun's Cruiser
//Title=P-51 Double Trouble
Sorry I can't be more exact here but I'm at work at the moment and can't bring up the actual title line entry text for your P-51 or a default P-51.
Now temporarily change the title line of the default P-51 you are aliasing too by simply adding an X or something simple to it's title line.
"Title=P-51 Crogun's Cruiser X" This keeps FS9 from getting a little confused trying to see two Crogun's Cruisers.
Save the aircraft.cfg file after your editing and your ready to fly. With it set up like this everybody will still see your P-51 as a P-51 instead of a Cessna even though they don't have the same textures as you do installed.
If everybody would do this when flying custom textures then all of our bombers will look like bombers and all of our fighters will look like fighters.
This is the best solution I can think of unless we implement the idea of posting all of the aircraft textures were are going to use for each flight and then everybody getting them installed. Even this is idea is limited in that maybe not everybody owns a copy of all the different Shockwaves.
This formula can even be used in the case of the FW-190s if somebody wants to fly opposing force intercepts. If everyone flying doesn't have the FW-190 you could alias the aircraft.cfg to one of the default German fighters in WOP HB&J and at least that way everybody would still see a German fighter even if not owning the FW-190.
I've flown custom colors on just about every mission or formation flying outting that I've been on with you guys and I've used this method everytime.
