Boeing 377 for FS2020?

Post by Chalenge »

I have been very interested in this aircraft for some time, but the announcement of FS2020 caused me to wait in purchasing a copy. I'm hoping you have an interest in updating this aircraft for 2020 so everyone might continue enjoying it. I am waiting anxiously to hear from you on what you might be doing for FS2020 from here forward.

Thank you for all you do!

Mate, there are plenty of us hoping the same thing. Accusim 4 engine props are extremely rare and the B377 is my favourite.

The Stratocruiser was never upgraded from FSX to P3D, so I don't expect it to be upgraded to FS2020 any time soon, if ever.

My advice, if you are at all interested in the 377, is to go ahead and get it and fly it in FSX. I'd also advise against getting FS2020 if you haven't already. Once you experience FS2020 you may have problems going back to an older sim.

FSX, P3D and FS2020 each have strengths and weaknesses. The new sim's greatest strength is the incredible scenery, especially for low and slow GA flying. Its greatest weakness at this time is that it is in a somewhat unfinished state. Some things are missing, some don't work quite right, expect to see some scenery anomalies. Weather can be iffy. But GA flying can be magical.

I personally really liked the Stratocruiser and was missing it in P3Dv4.5. I had to make do with the Constellation. :) That's ok, I didn't mind.
