Fueling question

Post by FireRescue85 »

Hey guys,

Taking a break from the Constellation and going back to the 377. Drawing a blank on the fueling process, I know certain tanks are supposed to be fueled first. I’m guessing the wing tanks first followed by the center tank?

Thanks,

Pilots Manual for COTS pg 62-67.
The centre tank is the last to be loaded and first to be emptied due to the centre tank putting the most stress on the airframe. The wing tanks are flown through the air, where the centre tank is just dead load on the wing root.
Cheers
