PWAK/PHNL

Post by alan CXA651 »

Hi.
Today i am flying from PWAK to PHNL ,i noticed before T/O , that the compass was not lined up , so hit the `d` key , i think the reason it was not lined up , is that on PWAK its easier to spawn on rwy 28 , then slew to the pan for the strat cold dark startup , as the only parking slot is by the refuel pumps , and is made for smaller aircraft.
Atis at PWAK was 055/14 vis10nm few clouds at 2400ft temp 26 dewpoint 22 alt 3001 , took off from rwy 10 with a 45deg xwind.
500NM into trip , and i have come accross a major snag on the flight plan , yesterday i did 3 flight plans in FSX , in readyness for the flights i did rjtt/pwak yesterday no problems , today on this trip i am haveing to fly over 1000nm blind no map , as my root shot 90deg towards north pole , yet when i did the plan yesterday , i carfully followed a flight line , between PWAK/PHNL , and all seemed well ,needs further investigation and a redo of plan once this flight is over , as yet no idea why the plan did this , trouble is i have a left xwind of 23knts and waypoints in this area are about 400nm apart , this will test my flying/navigation.
My blind navigation is coming to an end , some how it looks like when i hit save plan in fsx it as deleted one waypoint i needed and goinging by ASN flight plan , imported from fsx plan , i seem to have 5 extra waypoints , weired to say the least , once flight is finished i will have to redo the plan in fsx.
Aced the landing , got round of applause from pax and copilot complimented the landing ,and to top it all i sware heidi is flirting with the captain , on leaveing aircraft her comment was see you in the pilots lounge.
Just gone through the process of doing the flight plan again , all my waypoints proved to be correct , but something corrupted the original flt plan during the save , and it was sending me around the world , very odd.
