Sweet shots.
I do love the challenge of Quito.
...loaded pretty heavy...
I believe I had set "Medium Fuel" and "Full Passengers" about 136,000 lbs. or maybe more. Fl. plan was Quito ---->>> KATL

Okay keep this under wraps....not an official flying technique. :D

Here's a formula I use for the high altitude airports like AS-Quito and AS-Cuzco.
-FE Active but not in control of Turbos or MP Hold.
-Master Prop Sync lever at 90%. Will yield 2550rpms at full throttle.
-Turbo Control Override switches @ Climb & Cruise
-Turbo Boost Selector @ 30%-50%
-To find the best Turbo setting, I do a run up just prior to take-off. I want to be able to reach 55"MP if needed + leave a little overhead. If it looks like there is room, I try to throttle back to 51" before breaking ground, just to get the temps back down as soon as possible.

I fly 99.9% of all 377 flights at MTOW/72 passengers and came up with this so I could still fly maxed out from the really tricky high altitude airports and not tear up the engines.

Take-off from AS Quito @ MTOW/72. I started this flight on the runway. On a normal flight, she would have burned off a few of these pounds during the taxi.

Easily off the ground with room to spare. She was already on auto-pilot by the time I crossed the wall at the end of the runway.

Nicely done. I'll have to remember that post once I dare to move to an airport like Quito

The creativity and TLC on this creation are really good. There are guppy fish on the cowls, head rests, and on the "Big Fish" pilot's uniforms.
Also has a custom interior to match.

I sure did.

I had it in one of the shots, but decided to leave that as a surprise for anyone flying her to find.

Thanks again for your work.
