Sweet !

I had my Strat on the tarmac at FlyTampa's OMDB at about 39-40*C yesterday and had (2) engines fires right off the bat.

I've got a few more pic.'s I'll post later. 8)

Nice screenshots!
I wish Larry could recognize excessive heat and open the cowl flaps all the way while on the ground and not in motion.

Yes.
I started'em up and I opened everything fully. I then gave control to the F.E. and he kept warning me that the engines were getting too hot, so I took control ... opened fully again, still too hot. I then "pushed back" and taxied down the taxi way to cool'em. I then went back to the "gate" and loaded the passengers, pushed back again ..... blast it .... # 3 and # 2 on fire!

Hi guys,

got the Strat + COTS at the recent sale and I'm really enjoying my buy. Here are some impressions:

I think the landing gear cleared that building top by the thickness of an Angel's shadow !

Hope you enjoyed them.

Nice screenshots FlameOut. I bet that takeoff in Quito required a new set of underwear for the flight crew

Was the ship loaded pretty heavy? But Quito is pretty extrem. I remember seeing a documentary about the Lufthansa Cargo MD-11F where the pilot stated that there is weather scenarios when they can't takeoff due to the density altitude.

Great 377 minds must think alike. I just landed yesterday afternoon at Quito after a non-stop haul in from LatinVFR's Santiago, Chile (SCEL).
Quito is part of my 377's regular route, dubbed the torture test. TTG's Tonconctin (MHTG), AS's Quito (SEQU) & AS's Cuzco (SPZO).
