New Paint - Braniff International Airlines

Post by Warbirds »

Braniff never had a B-377 in their fleet but I think it would have fit right in so here is my version. This is for the A2A B-377 with Cotts update.

Find it at Flightsim.com in the file search section and look for "braniff_b377.zip"

Beautiful warbirds. I must admit since becoming a father I am really behind on keeping up with this stuff but will get around to adding your latest couple of repaints to the 377 hanger.

Its quite a collection you have in there now 8)

Download this Braniff Paint for the A2A B377 - 3 different times - from Flight Sim.com

downloads alright , I get the ZIP File ok,, BUT, when I open the ZIP File to copy the contents all textures and the read me file, it says it can't and gives me sum error code ????

I even went so far as to click on properties of the zip file and make sure I had administrator privilages , still a no go.

I tried moving the file to another location , still won't let me copy any of the contents out of the zip file .

keep in mind, that I 90% of the time manually install all my Aircraft in my FSX / Acceleration !

to date, I have over 4,900 Aircraft for my FSX / Acceleration !

so, its NOT like I dunno' what I'm doing or am new.

something wrong with that file I bet !!

anybody else running into this problemo' ????

Strange , because after I downloaded it, the contents inside the ZIP File shows that there are Airctaft Textures and a Photo JPG ,, but, won't let me do anything with the contents inside the ZIP File.

Also downloaded it from another web site and the exact same thing happened , so I just gave up, appears the designer / author must have the ZIP File locked with some sort of security feature or something that I can't undo even with administrator privilages, corrupt file I suppose ????

Warbirds, That is really a beauty! I really like that color contrast on the 377.

Thanks!

My Father was 37yrs with Braniff International Airways at (KDAL) Love Field, Dallas before they went out of business in 1986. And, I remember when the Braniff Hangar was located just South of the current Love Field Terminal. It was an open on both ends and a half moon looking hangar from the WWII era. When I was 5yrs old my Father said that I met Mr. Tom Braniff on that hangar floor (long gone now). But, growing up and flying non-rev, I remember the smell of getting on the Braniff DC-3, DC-6, DC-7, DC-8, B707, B727, B747, Connies, Electras, etc. and smelling the burnt engine oil, AVGAS and Jet Fuel. When you got off of those old wonderful aircraft your hair smelled like airplane fumes for days. And, I loved it!
All of that to say this, I love your Braniff textures and although fictional - I have a feeling of times gone bye looking at it. Wonderful Job! Thanks for the memories!
