Weathered Cockpit Mod

Post by Jigsaw »

Here is my Weathered Cockpit Mod for the Stratocruiser. It will turn the factory-fresh Stratocruiser into a workhorse that has seen countless hours of service. There is chipped paint at the edges of instrument panels from removing and putting them back in for maintenance, scratches where the mechanic slipped with the screwdriver, more scratches where gauges have been moved in their sockets, smudges and discoloration on writing, where they have been touched and wiped clean again and again, rips and wear in the seat fabric and carpet, a stain where the Captain spilled his coffee etc.

NOTE: This mod is not updated for Captain of the Ship yet. It does work with it but might revert some changes that were made to the cockpit textures in the CotS package.

Thank you very much. This is by far the best freeware/use-graphic/repaint mod for any A2A addon available.

Great job. Have you thought about adding "wear and tear" on the gang switches? It seems to me that is a place that would have more scratches than anywhere... just a thought.

There is some wear on them, mostly around the edges. I have thought about making scratches where the switches slide along the metal when they are being used, but since all gang switches use the same texture it might look too repetitive. I'll give it a shot.

Is there a way to have the Weathered Cockpit with just some of the liveries?
Ryzen 7 5800X3D liquid cooled, OC to 4.5 ghz, Radeon XFX 6900XT Black edition, 2 tb M2 drive, 32 gb ddr4 ram, Asus Hero Crosshair VIII mother board, and some other stuff I forget exactly what.

You should just be able to install the weathered cockpit textures into only those aircraft that you want to use them.

Just install them into that aircraft's texture folder.

Any 377 that you did not install the textures into, will continue to use the default non-weathered textures.

Thank for your works but do you mind to upload it to AVSIM or other major FS sites?

I cannot access Megaupload in my country, thank you!
