I have a couple of CRJ-900 aircraft that i put the 3d lights in
what I did was to just change the name of the light that was being used for a shockwave equivalent but for some strange reason they do not show up I did not change any thing else was changed
example light.0=3, -86.20, -35.80, 0.50, fx_navred ,
I changed it to read light.0=3, -86.20, -35.80, 0.50, fx_shockwave_navred
does any one know why this does not work.

Re: 3dlights for the CRJ-900
Hello,
double check the effect file exists exactly as written in name. Which aircraft are you trying to use the lights with?
In the years following the 3d lights product, some developers including ourselves found new ways to create lights with modelled lights. These are not compatible with effect changes such as those done with 3d lights and other modifications as they require access to the model itself.
thanks

Re: 3dlights for the CRJ-900
The aircraft is POSKY CRJ-900
there are three different variations for this aircraft
Now this is what I wound up doing to fix the problem
I added the .fx extension at the end and they show up
So now the line looks like this light.0=3, -86.20, -35.80, 0.50, fx_shockwave_navred.fx
now this is just wired to me
nowhere else do i have to add the .fx extension

Re: 3dlights for the CRJ-900
The name might be .fx.fx if extensions are not enabled on your system would be maybe an explanation for that particular file?
thanks,
Lewis
