Problems following Installation

Recently purchased a new PC so had to reinstall complete FSX-SE. One of the final jobs was the landing lights and this is where I am having a couple of problems. On my old PC it worked just fine.
When it installs it resets the B738 Sim0bject folder back to basic. Any addons/textures/changes etc disappear and the plane of choice can't initialize. Not a major problem as I can copy the aircraft.cfg and panel folder back over but there is a problem when I use the overhead panel.
Clicking on the landing lights switches the lights on but then the switch moves to off and the LL go out. If I uninstall the lights, it goes back to normal.
Any ideas what causes this.
