First Repaint for WOPII B-17 - "Yankee Lady"

Post by Bomber_12th »

Here's my first repaint for the WOPII B-17. I've uploaded it to Avsim and when available look for the file name of wopiib17ynkldy.zip.

As I make more all-metal fortresses I'll probably go back and update this one.

Hope you enjoy it!

looks superb. Heading over to AVSIM right now ...

Thank you,

Michael.
Nobody criticized the pilot for making that slow roll. American fighter pilots are supposed to have enough steam in their breeches to try something out of the book once in a while. The fact that he didn't make it was his own business.

Repaints

Post by rvc72 »

At the risk of sounding dumb, how do I go about including these repaints to the B17. I have tried the way I always have but it doesn't seem to work. Why are the new files not in the same format as the ones in the texture folders of the original plane, ie: the originals are .dds and the new textures are .bmp format?

rvc72, I believe you've got my older Yankee Lady repaint which is for the original FS9 WOP B-17. Make sure you download the one with the file name wopiib17ynkldy.zip.

problem with spinning wheels texture

Post by eagle420 »

hi Bomber_12th, great paint , but i seem to be having a problem with it, ;(

it seems when in motion on the runway after so many mph when the wheels start spinning really fast, the spinning dark grey wheel texture goes away and a very light grey texture appears, i have all the paints in this forum and they all do the same thing, the original b-17' planes joker, and heaven sent do not do this, does anyone else have this problem? thx :?
