Loading Save Flight Issue

Post by frankie1029 »

Good evening,
I have had saved flights with the B17 before and when I reload the flights, everything seems to be the way I left it.
Now, the MP Selector is set to "0", the throttles are at Idle, the mixture is at cutoff and the Autopilot is shut off. It's almost a complete cold and dark setup.

Does this have to do with any updates to the aircraft or could it be my system. I am using P3D v4 on Windows 10.

Thanks in advance,
fc

Hello,

some settings will come from your saved default flight. If your saved flight is cold and dark there is a chance no matter that some settings will be loaded in that state when you load. What is your default flight?

thanks,

My default flight is the normal P3d V4 flight. With the F-22 raptor. If that is what you mean lol

Yes thats the one, no changes to that?

Also how are you loading into the flight, is it a saved flight or a new flight from the free flight menu?

The flight is saved and there are no changes made to the default flight.

Hello,

how are you loading into the flight, is it a saved flight or a new flight from the free flight menu?

Its worth noting not everything will be saved, things like throttle etc tend to always be loaded at idle etc and it is not recommended to load into a flight in the air.

thanks,

It is a saved flight. Usually in the air. But it has never done this before. I flew transatlantic in the B17 and nothing went wrong then.

Yes, you have run into the good practice issue. We always recommend never loading into the air because just like the default flight with a complex aircraft issue it can work for one user many times and then not for others and go from working to not working.

You'll want to land before the next flight or be prepared to make some changes once you have loaded in, like a quick extra checklist to check the basics of throttle positions, prop, turbo etc.

thanks
