Hi, is it normal that hydraulic pressure drops by itself ?
As i know hydraulic is used only for cowls and brakes, during flight brakes obviously are not in use, and cowls are set by me and not changed during cruise, yet pressure slowly drops until automatic pump activates.
Is it ok ?

Hi Artur.
Have you any maintenance leaks in the hanger or worn hyd pump , these will give fluid leaks and pressure drops , even if aircraft is parked in cold and dark , small leaks occur and fluid level in tank will drop , then the pump will run , as long as pressure stays in green pump stays off , if it drops from green pump comes on , this is normal ,
If the pressure drops suddenly , and pump cannot get pressure in green , THEN WORRY .
regards Alan.

Re: Hydr. pressure
drop rate is very low, auto pump have to work maybe every 40min or 1 hour to keep pressure in desired range.
Will investigate it more.

Hi Artur.
What you discribe sounds about normal to me , you may have minor leaks or partly worn pump , that has not reached the point of triggering the yellow warning in the hanger yet.
regards Alan.
