P3Dv5 B-17G Not Showing Up in P3Dv5

Hmmm...
Downloaded and installed the new B-17G for P3Dv5... and it's installed in the same location as all my other P3D planes... but it's not showing up in the sim as an available aircraft.

Anyone else have this issue, or have an idea on how to correct it?

Hi Moose214,

When you installed the B-17, did the installer detect your existing A2A products and 'lock' the install path to the same location?

Also, just to double-check, are you looking for the B-17G under "A2A Boeing"?

Hi Nick,

Yes, it seemed to know exactly where to install the folder, which now appears will all my other A2A planes for P3Dv5:
Users>rkymt>Documents>Prepar3D v5 Add-ons>A2A>SimObjects>Airplanes>A2A_b17g

Selecting an aircraft in the sim, I sort by Publisher... and I can see all my other A2A planes there... but not the B17. Strange.

Another thought - when you are on the screen to "Change Vehicle", is the "Show only favorites" highlighted? If so, click on it to deselect that function and then you should be able to find the A2A Boeing B-17G. Then you can add it to your favorites.
If this is not the issue then I am out of ideas.

Yep, that's good point Lyn. If P3Dv5 is set to show only favourites, that would certainly explain it. Otherwise, the only thing I can think of at present is third-party antivirus software which may have quarantined files during installation.

The "Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\A2A\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_b17g" folder should have the following installed size.

DUH me.
You were right, Lyn.
I had only 'favorites' showing.
The B-17 is now displayed in the sim.
(I guess I was too long away from P3D, having focused on FS2020)
