Hi
I get a CTD a few minutes after getting airbourne, consistently, it's strange because I have had this aircraft since it's launch with no problems.
all my other A2A aircraft :- C172,C182,Commanche, Spitfire,Cub,Stratocruiser,P47,P51 behave faultlessly.
I have tried a new installation, plus the current update but the CTD persists.
windows7 OS, Intel i7-6700k,4GHz,16GB Ram, nivdia 1060 graphics, ( no overclocking) FSUIPC payware not used for any joystick imputs.
Any ideas appreciated.
Michael

Re: CTD Issue ,
Check your graphics/video drivers. See if there has been a recent updated driver installed, and, if so, try rolling back the driver. If there hasn't been a recent update, try updating the driver.

Re: CTD Issue ,
Odd suggestions:
1) time it. See if there is a consistent time in which the program times out.
2) idle the fort on the ground and wait said amount of time. See if you have a CTD.
If yes, then the fort is the issue. If no, then it seems like the forts flight parameters are causing an issue.
Also look for common similarities (CTD right after gear up, flaps up, etc.). Might help you locate the problem.
Last: which version of FSX are you using? If it’s steam, I’d check the integrity of the files just to see if that fixes it.

Re: CTD Issue ,
When I had FSX SP2 I had a ton of random issues with A2A aircraft, especially the B377.
I had used this aircraft successfully for months, and then one day a glitch appeared where some systems worked, some didn’t, I tried to uninstall it multiple times yet it would still show up in the aircraft library even though all files were gone.
I switched to FSX SE, and reinstalled all my aircraft and scenery (a pain, I know) yet I haven’t had an issue since. Steam allows you to check the integrity of your FSX files and fix any missing/corrupt problems.
If you’re having an issue whether it is flying or idling, it sounds like something became corrupt and isn’t processing correctly.
Just my 2 cents on the topic.

Thanks everyone for your comments. think I have resolved the issue, I use a hub... use 2 rigs, recoupling
the mouse USB plug appears to have done the trick.
Thanks

Re: CTD Issue ,
Glad to hear you got it sorted. If it reappears throw a post out there and we can look into the PC logs to see if that gives a clue.

Re: CTD Issue ,
Hi Lewis,
Spoke a little prematurely, after a trouble free cross country of over 1 hour duration, the next flight is back to
the same issues, plus the aircraft not consistently responding to joystick and rudder actions (CH Yoke & Rudder pedals), although
calibrated and working OK in other aircraft.
As mentioned previously my graphics card is a Nvidia 1060, and the driver used is 471.01. Do think there is
a possibility of driver incompatibility given the fact that the B17 although wonderful is getting a little long in the tooth?
the driver is practically the oldest one available for a windows 64bit OS.
Thank you Lewis
Michael

Re: CTD Issue ,
Hi.
You say this aircraft used to work with no issues , now it causes a CTD .
1. Have you installed any repaints of this aircraft.
2. Does the CTD happen with ANY or just ONE paint.
3. Have you done any mods to the aircraft.cfg file like repaints section or new views
4. What addons to your sim have been installed between the aircraft being ok and the CTD`s
5. do the CTD`s happen while in the VC or outside or as you change views
regards alan.

Re: CTD Issue ,
Hi Alan,
I have not used the aircraft for over a year until a few days ago, yes I have 2/3 repaints, but, after removing same CTD issue.
1. No mods to the aircraft
2.Tried older and latest 64bit drivers
3. Always startup with the default c172, before B17 selection.
Predominantly CTD occurs while changing view with the mouse.
