...to do this one. I have Nath's old one, but still.

Download.

Edit: This is from P3d V4 but she does not work properly. The worst problem being, is she hits a brick wall if you apply full flaps and falls out of the sky if airborne.

Bonus points if you put the signatures on!

I did think about that and if I could find some HD images of all those I could probably do it. I've increased the resolution of the b17g_1_t.dds file for the nose art so they would stand a chance of being legible. I did a quick test and would probably have to go to 8K for that one to do them justice.

Just for information. 4k seems feasible but would depend on the size of the signature.

That really looks good and provides more strength to the temptation to get FSX-SE reinstalled. That’s a really nice work, though. I would see “Nine-O-Nine” reliably every Spring and they would reliably roar over my house on their way further North!

Bladerunner900,
I have a HD picture of the signatures from when I had my flight on her in Jan 2013. I would be happy to send you a copy by PM here on A2A, or by email, if that would be OK with you. It looks like there are almost all the signatures shown but there may be a few that were out of the picture.
Let me know.

That's really cool, I look forward to seeing (and flying) it! My hat's off to you repainters anyway, but the names look like a massive undertaking!

Being realistic I don't think I can do it. There's allot towards the top I can't read let alone lift off. Then there's some on the bottom with the same problem. I've actually found a font that looks identical to the one used, but I can't read them. It's a shame.

Sorry guys.

Steve,
I was afraid that with the curvature of the fuselage that it would be pretty difficult to do but it was worth a try.
I have downloaded the repaint and it looks great!
Thanks.

I don't know how much more you want to put into this but maybe it would be worth contacting Collings and see if they have photo documentation of the names? I know they have bigger stuff to worry about right now but if you explain what you're doing and show them the repaint you've already done you might find someone willing to help.

There is no way that I am going to be bothering the Collings Foundation with this right now.
