Post by draggin »

i feel a total fool, but I have just purchased and installed the 2 .exe files for the B-17 and Accu-Sim.
now im lost, I even read the manual but how do I acess all the fun stuff?
If I launch FSX how do I get to Accu-Sim, I cant even see the B-17 in my list of free flight planes?
I am running Windows 10 and FSX for steam.
color me embarrased!!!
Please help?

Hi.
Did you also download and run the latest A2A updater .
In the sim have you got show all in the freeflight selection.
Correct install order is b17 / b17 accusim / A2A updater.
Also you access the B17G in the freeflight selection , the accusim part is
show/hide with shift+number see below list and also wear / tear of aircraft components even if pc off and is mostly hidden from view , it works mainly in the background.
shift+2 crew reports
shift+3 controls
shift+4 fuel/bomb load/fluids
shift+5 map
shift+6 radios
shift+7 hangar maintenance
shift+8 engine selector
shift+9 autopilot whichever you have selected in shift+3 choice is C-1 or ms default

I installed it to the E:\program files x86 \steam\ steam apps \common FSX folder
Yes I have everything set to All In The Free Flight menu
In the aircraft folder I do have a wop2_b17g folder
Wait I think I have it figured out I had another freeware b-17g in my aircraft folder and I think because they had the same display name that the Accu Sim version was not displaying I now see it in my menu thank you everyone
Is there an easy way to change liveries? Oh show all variations! Thats got me started

Hi.
In the free flight selection , if show all selected , it will show all the B-17G aircraft you have installed , just select one and fly , but be warned , do not keep changing highend addons like A2A B17G as your sim will crash , just seltect one , go fly , once finished end flight , then shut sim down and restart it if you wish to fly a different aircraft .
In the basic A2A B17 install , you get 4 different paints as follows.
Boeing B-17G Heaven Sent
Boeing B-17G Joker
Boeing B-17G Scheherazade
Boeing B-17G Yankee Lady
I have 25 paints on top of original 4 , as i am a member of the 91st bombardment group , who re enact the bombing missions of the 91st bg during WW2 on joinFS , flying in close formation , the concentration level during these formation runs is very high .
At this time i have 451 hours at the controls of this fine aircraft , just wish A2A did an F version as well as the G , as my chosen paint in my 324th sqd is the famous Memphis Belle , which was an F model.
If you would like to add more liveries in the future , theres a lot of good ones out there , on AVSIM / Flightsim.com / Mikes repaints , ectra.
