Hey pilots!
I was wondering if there are some civil repaints for the Fortress (just repaints, no civil version in terms of systems...)?
I am aware of two - a RedBull and a Inter Island Air repaint. But are there other civil paints out there?
Thank you!

I was on the same trail as Tomas! Include a search of OzX repaints... there may be other paints there that may interest you. I think there are others that are just bare metal, no markings.

Thank you guys!
OY-DFA looks very good! I want to use it for AirHauler 2, in a scenario where I use a remodelled b-17 as cargobird

Hi Bazonka.
I suppose thats one way to save on landing fees , fly over airport with bomb doors open , and drop the freight.
regards alan.

Re: Civil Repaints
I think google will have to be the way here, I remember a few civvy repaints but they tended to be totally eclipsed by the what must have been hundreds of war time repaints.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: Civil Repaints
There were some B-17's that were equipped with an external boat underneath the main landing gear and were used for SAR. If I'm not mistaken, they were operated by the USCG. I've been looking for a repaint of the A2A B-17 in this scheme, but am unable to find it.

Hi FireRescue85.
You are correct , i have been reading a magazine on the B17g , goes throught the history , from early models to the g , these uscg conversions where done after the war , these boats where slung under the fusalage in the bomb bay area , and painted with bright yellow markings , there was more variants to the b17 than even i was aware of , including ones equiped with radar , called micky ships, so bombs could be dropped on targets even in heavy cloud cover.
Also the magazine covers info on the production numbers , and where made in three factorys , boing in seattle , douglas and lockheed vega also made them under licence .
regards alan.
