ODD Co-pilot Response

Post by alan CXA651 »

Hi.
Yesterday at KBFI gate heavy , ASN in use , weather heavy rain and overcast, aircraft cold an dark, checked hanger , all was fit to fly , checked fluids , and filled main tanks.
Then did batt check , asked for apu, put mags on , opened fuel valves, asked co-pilot to operate cowl flaps/intercoolers,selected fire bottles to eng3, selected eng3 primer,eng3 booster pump on, gave one shot , started eng3 co-pilot chirped clear , operated mesh , engine started to turn , added mixture to auto rich , engine fired up, put it to 1000rpm for warm up , booster pump off , gen 3 on line, sofar all was well .
Started to get eng4 ready for starting , when the co-pilot chirped up , engines warmed up sir, NOW thats ODD i had still to fire up engines 1,2 and 4.
I dont know what the co-pilot had been drinking the night before, but clearly he was not in a fit state to fly , anyone else had this happen , its only done this once on me sofar.
Regards alan. 8)
