Test flight out of hamilton

Post by alan CXA651 »

Hi.
Today , i set the aircraft up at hamilton , decided i was going to do 3 test takeoff/landings , at different fuel weights , as runway is only 4000ft.
I could not get any ATIS on any of the freq of 122.00/122.02/122.05 , i tried rebooting ASN no joy , so decided i would do just one takeoff run instead , and just fuelled the main tanks , but tokyo and bombay tanks are fitted ready for the hawaii run , i just hoped i picked the correct runway , has there is no windsock or tower , as this runway in fsx has been decommissioned.
Take off took a lot of runway , so i figured i might need some flap when fully fuelled, for a safe take off from hamilton. on landing after my one practice takeoff, and there was no inflight probs , the hanger showed a message , saying some engine components needed changing , i was surprised to find one generator totally shot , and two worn .
I replaced all 3 generators.
