Landing Rate of Sync

Post by cflord »

I was wondering what the A2A landing rate of sync for the B-17G is modeled at before my crew starts to complain about hard landings. I have noticed that I can nail a "0" FPM rate of sync landing and still get the peanut gallery in the back complaining about a hard landing. Just like any other plane, I do believe the B-17G has to have a minimum-maximum FPM landing rate of sync. After all they use to land on dirt, grass, metal (psp) and paved runways.

Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down!

Mhh interesting. I don't want to brag but I regularly get comments on my smooth landings   Of course there's the occasional hard landing or bump that directs the crew chiefs anger at me. I don't know the exact values but it's definetly possible to please him

What surface are you usually landing on?

I've had lots of great landings and kudos from my crew. I'm just dumb founded how a "0" FPM rate of sync landing can be interpreted as a hard landing. Maybe I have a crew of girlie-men!

Oh sorry I misunderstood your original post. I don't know what the criteria are for getting a smooth landing comment from your crew. Maybe also side load gives one bad comments!?
