Re: Accusim B-17 Oxygen Masks not appearing (oxy system work
I have had this issue as well bud and after numerous tries I gave up and just fly it. No longer look for the eye candy aspect. Let us know if you find a fix. I'm very interested and will give it a try too.

Complete un-install and re-install as Lewis suggests is your best bet. My addition would be to use something like REVO uninstaller for an absolutely complete un-install before the fresh install!

Re: Accusim B-17 Oxygen Masks not appearing (oxy system work
Hello Again, All;
My issue was "Temporarily" resolved (Oxy and Bomb Animations) worked great!!!...until I logged approximately 2.4 hours on the B-17.
My Tech Specs (see previous posts) didn't change and I checked the plane in stock FSX (worked great) and then proceeded to incorporate REX ESSENTIAL PLUS OVERDRIVE from there on out. ( Real-time Weather and Textures) and, again, everything worked perfectly until today. The Original problem is back (Oxy masks not animating and the incorrect Bomb-Bay ordinance (again, see previous posts) animations.
The ONLY thing that I have done was "clean" the PC; DEFRAG the hard drive using Piriform Defraggler, and I run IOBIT Advanced System Care Pro. Additionally, IOBit ASCPro includes a "game booster" function that has a utility to individually "defrag" individual games (such as FSX and REX), however I never run that program for boosting...just the occasional game defrag. I additionally cleaned up the registry and used Piriform CCLeaner to clean the PC. Only AFTER running these programs did I notice my problem come back...with a vengeance!!!
I have already tried complete deep root uninstall and install (and it cleared the issue up for the aforementioned hours), however after performing these essential systems functions I am back to square one. Any Ideas? Any and ALL will help...THANKS!
Is this an issue on just a simple .cfg error somewhere? Did the defragmentation cause this? (hard drive was at 11% fragmentation then down to zero). Why does this problem seem to happen?

Re: Accusim B-17 Oxygen Masks not appearing (oxy system work
Hello,
sounds like your defrags are corrupting files rather than correctly moving them, 11% is also very normal and well below any need for a defrag (You can go a year of heavy use without ever needing one really).
Seems the couple-three who encounter this issue are tweakers and something that's being tweaked is changing the way the sim works, it'll be down to trying to figure out exactly what is changing to find out why its stopping working. The issue there is trying to troubleshoot that would be very difficult as various tweak programs are automatic.
Another thing to try would be backing up the fsx.cfg and starting the sim for a new blank one to be generated and trying that in case its a core value of the fsx.cfg being changed.
thanks,
Lewis

In the main root folder for fsx the cfg is. copy it somewhere else and let a brand new fresh one be generated for testing purposes.
thanks,
Lewis

I think it is also a hidden file, so you need to make sure you "show hidden files".

CCleaner and registry cleaners can be a boost and/or a real PITA.
I've learned the hard way that while some may be proclaimed the best thing since sliced bread, if one just accepts all the program's suggestions, one can end up with problems. It seems you mentioned yourself that you had used some of those programs before you ended up with the same problems a second time.
