Awesome new REX "Soft Clouds"

Post by Tailspin45 »

REX clouds are on my FSX 'required' list, along with ORBX terrain, and Active Sky Next weather (and of course the A2A B-17). The new REX Soft Clouds are a giant leap toward realism.

For comparison, here's what REX Essentials clouds looked like before adding the new ones. Close, but not quite right.

Nice shots Tailspin!
Ebo you know what, I didn't really notice you work for REX untill this post  and Im thinking of getting some REX products......so what do you recommend? I use ASN so I don't need the weather part, so I was thinking about REX 4 Texture Direct is it? I mainly want it to improve the default grey runway textures at non addon airports......I see in tutorials on YouTube that there are different themes you can select for clouds and sky etc, I'm just a bit confused to how this works with ASN live weather.

All the best, John.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

I think I will also be upgrading my textures this new year too. Initially I was just going to get REX 4 to replace REX Essentials. But looking at those clouds I'm going to have to get REX Soft Clouds, they look really good. Plus there's also a sale on at the REX store so you can get both for the bargain price of $28.43 or roughly £18.30, talk about cheap.

I have to admit I was not bowled over by the initial 'Whoop-dee-do' about soft clouds so I didn't buy them until, in a state of 'ho-hum', a few days ago. I am far, far more impressed than I had bargained for. Excellent £7's worth. :D

Oh, nice pictures. :D
