After the CIX VFR Club WWII warbirds display last month, I finally got time to fly my B-17G back to Duxford.

hate to burst your bubble but that skin on the plane says Memphis belle sir.

You are absolutely right, but the No. 3 cowling is the give away here. The yellow and black chequered markings is in memory of Mr. Ted White, who brought Sally B to the UK.

ah ok. still the checkered cowl just does not look right on the Memphis belle.

Its Sally B and Memphis Belle all in one :wink:

She was the aircraft used in the 1993 film Memphis Belle and keeps the nose art from the filming to this day 8)

lol yep I have seen that very b-17 here in the states. I seen it at the Cleveland national air show a few years ago.

:D thank you sir. no not during the winter it's just the way the picture turned out. it's hard to fly the plane and snap photos at the same time ya know? :lol:
