Al Bradbury over at AVSIM sez our Emil's not quite accurate...

Now 'cause of him I can't stop looking at it... arrrgh! ;-) 'Specially the angle that the cowling comes up from the spinner - ours seems to be similar while the Lufty version has perhaps 15 degrees difference.

Can't help but love this thing, though, once I learned to try to plow her nose into the runway to take off correctly (those good old wing slats :-) )

What say ye, mighty Shockwave - does he have the wrong picture? I know sometimes if I do the screen view incorrectly in FS it seems to have a fisheye effect that could explain this.

I has faith in mah Shockwave.

We will look into this.
There will be update (new native FSX models to fix prop and canopy transparency issues) anyway.

Indeed, it was wrong. Here's a temporary fix:

Replace "5" with "180" in AIRCRAFT.CFG file, contact points section, "point.0" line, 8th position.

[contact_points]
...
point.0 = 1, -17.55, 0, -1.13, 3000, 0, 0.45, 180, 0.1, 4, 0.8, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0

The modellers are currently busy on a new aircraft that is doing circuits at the moment. Once that is released they can look at updates. :wink:

Update?

I LOVE this aircraft! How's the new aircraft's modelling status going? (How far are we from the Emil update? ;-) )

Cool! Hey, thanks for your quick reply, Rob. Other developers I've forum-ed with are quite loath to get back to the consumers in anywhere of a timely fashion.

Will any update be both FS9/FSX compatible? You know how SP2/Acceleration is... (why'd they have to mess up our transparent textures? Sheesh.)

Long Live Shockwave.

The update will fix the SP2/Acceleration transparency issues. Mainly.

One can use many Bf109 drawings available on the net and get different results. This is how the Bf109 will look in comparison to the drawing I trust:
