New Video

Post by Manta »

Hi,

In this video I have tried to follow step by step the procedure to start the DB601Aa 12-cylinder inverted-vee liquid cooled engine as described in Shockwave WWIIFighters manual.
My thanks go to Shockwave Productions for this wonderful bird and to Epsillon for making such nice skins and to ACE team for a great sim.

Yes, this is it. This model was made to use the TrackIR - I'm glad you have a fun with it, Manta. Good work.

Excellent video Manta, well done.

I do have a question, I noticed when you start your fuel pump and pressure is coming up you have a nice audible hum for the pump motor and pressure, mine however does not have this sound when I actuate my pump. Is this something you added to the plane cfg and sound file or is mine missing something? If you simply added the sound yourself no need to go into details how you did it.

Hi Mjolner,

the sound comes with Shockwave WWII Fighters, I'm not much of a tweaker, I tend to play games by default, as they come out of the box.

Cheers

Hi Manta
I watched this video a few weeks ago when I purchased the 109 and I have been meaning to say how excellent it is - it must be the best video of its kind - and no music! Are you planning to do another one on another aspect of flying the 109? Such as take-off, landing - that would be fantastic. Many thanks again.
Dave.

An excellent video Manta! I noticed that your "virtual head" is moving around the cockpit freely. Is this feature only in FSX? I haven't found a setting to enable this in FS2004.

Thanks mate!

You can freely move your head thanks to TrackIr4 in both FSX and FS9.

Cheers
