Still flying her and looking for a repaint

Post by CeesDonker »

After all these years this is still my favorite plane to fly. That is something isn't it? It's just like riding a bike, once you've mastered it, you'll know how to do it.
The repaint I'm looking for is a survivor: the white 14 of The Russell Aviation Group. http://www.airic.ca/html/bf109rag.html
Can anyone tell me if it's already done?

Cees

Hey Cee's sorry no idea. Its such an older product remembering all the awesome repaints from the model is almost impossible. Given its age and what was popular back then I think best bet might be a search of SOH for repaints.

I believe unfortunately many may have been lost when AVSIM crashed years back too, which is a shame. I know I lost some of my own repaints back then too, like a numpty I forgot to backup during a PC change grrrr!

thanks,
Lewis

I recently purchased 109 with "fix", then tried to install several paints from SOH, w/o success. They don't show in FSX. Copied textures/pasted, and did numbered sequence in CFG. :(

I recently got this aircraft back in my hangar too,

Since I cannot leave a paintkit alone, I started working on some high res textures for this aircraft.

I have finished all the stenciling and started with some paints, that already have been done and some additional ones. But these will be 4096*4096.

I really like your suggestion and put it on my list. Nice pictures to work from.

I am sure this minor problem can be overcome.

Please paste the texture entry from your SOH paint here and I have a look, why it is not showing up.

Yes probably just a cfg error in your cfg. If theres any syntax error at all the paints wont display like you describe.

cheers,

Hi Cees.

Not sure whether you are still interested. I finally uploaded all my 109 paints and this one is part of the collection.

Hi Eberhard,
(I was in Botswana, on my wedding holiday; on the way spent a week in Capetown. Love both!)
I managed to install the Me 109 E by A2A in my P3Dv5, found this thread by coincidence. Can you link me to your repaints, please. (PM if you want).
