FSX - SP2 Update Wish List

Post by felso »

Gentlemen,

I am very much looking forward to the SP-2 update. However there are two things that have always bothered me about the exterior model.
First, the shape of the lower portion of the rudder. It appears that the radius is much larger and pronounced in the real aircraft as opposed to your model. Second, The prop radius appears much too small while in VC mode. It would also be nice to have more of a three dimensional look to the glare shield, similar to the VC in the Acceleration model. Is there any chance these issues could be looked into in regards to the upcoming update?

Thanks for all the great aircraft, I've purchased almost all of them.

I was referring to the Mustang in my first post. Sorry it's late.

The mustang update currently in progress is indeed an extensive update with various rebuilds.

At the risk of asking a stupid question, can you please tell me what SP-2 means?? Service Pack maybe?? And is it for Flight Simulator X?? I'm new to the forum and trying to learn the acronyms. Thanks!

SP= Service Pack. Be careful not to confuse Microsoft FSX SP1 and SP2 with service packs from 3rd party addons, such as the A2A 377 Stratocruiser SP1.

Will these SPs be available for download from Microsoft?? At the usual update site?? I just ordered FSX. I'm looking forward to getting into the new age of flight sims.

If the version you just ordered is FSX Gold, or if you get the "Acceleration" expansion pack seperately, you can ignore the service pack downloads. "Acceleration" is the latest (and most likely the last) build version by Microsoft.

Any chance we can see some more progress shots on the new FSX native version of the P51?

Also I wondered if the texture sets that have been done for the old version will work with the new one?

Texture sets will not work with the FSX fix - this is a new model with newly mapped surfaces.

Oh boy, that will keep me off the streets for a while....
Scott, any chance of a Iwo Jima Mustang (no wire, three aerials), is that still part of the package?
Also, a wire/no wire option would be great
