She's fully functional as far as I know. I guess they turn the engine over every now and then and let her run for a bit just to make sure everything works but they haven't taken her up in a long time(from what I was told).

I can only imagine what a p.i.t.a. it is to keep a 60+ year old wooden aircraft in flyable condition..

She sure is beautiful though... I'd kill to see her in the air.

I only wish I was a better camera man with a better camera.. :( lol

EAA Airventure in Oshkosh Wisconsin(USA). It's only an hour from where I live so, of course, I go every year. :D

It's the biggest airshow in the world, as far as I know. Just smaller than the one in France. The one is France is more of a giant infomercial for the industry to show their new technology off so that doesn't really count..

The last Mossie I saw flying was in 1996 in Duxford, sadly she wen't down and was lost in 1997 a couple of days earlier a P38 was lost to. They said at the time that it was the last flyable Mossie, but that was ten years ago.

Great pics! I hope you enjoyed yourself. I see you got a pic of a C-130, good stuff!

Keep the shinny side up and the dirty side down!
