Update and information on my Piper Cherokee 180 Sim Build.

Post by vangyver »

AIRMANAGER / PICO PROJECTORS a totally different way of doing gauges!
I mounted my 2nd pico projector today. All works great. All switches / encoders and buttons installed and working. The cost of using actual simulated instrument from suppliers such as flight Illusion would be approximately $15,000. I did my instrument panel for the cost of two pico projectors and inexpensive rotary encoders, switches and buttons. If I was running a flight school, I would use Flight Illusion gauges. I will add comments to this for more information.

The plexiglass solves 3 problems. 1. Mounting rotary encoders where panel cutout is elongated. 2. Cosmetics appearance of glass covered instruments. 3. Protection from extruded finger poking.
