I am a bit torn between Accu-Sim 2 and Accu-Sim II, leaning towards Accu-Sim 2.0 if not for anything else but the practicality of having a decimal for future expansion and features.

I suppose there is an opportunity to state the features along with this.
Having a lot of experience with SEO due to day job, Arabic numerals are definitely the way to go over Roman numerals, which bring up all sorts of issues, so 2 or 2.0 > II.

We have referred to the newly created physics engine in house as "Merlin." Maybe "Accu-Sim II, Powered by Merlin". Merlin Aerodynamics, Merlin AI, etc.

Merlin? Like the wizard from sword in the stone because it's so magical?

As in the Rolls-Royce Merlin. :D

I like the idea of Accu-sim II, powered by Merlin. Simple, sweet, to the point.

As I detailed in my long post earlier, names are great, but careful consideration needs to be made. What, then, happens when Accu-Sim III comes? Is it still powered by Merlin? Or will that change at some point too? Will it be powered by Pratt & Whitney? Or by Continental? Or by Duracell?

I think the elegance and simplicity of 2 or 2.0 or II is the ticket. A tagline/name is good, and I love the ring of "Powered by Merlin", so I'm not opposed to it. Just think of what might come next, down the line. :-)

All the Accusim-planes are in my hangar, but they aren't sitting long enough for their engines to cool much before next flight!

Accu-Sim 2.0
Every second iteration of anything needs to be a 2.0. Resistance is useless.

Corny... yes, very much on purpose, also but practical - no need to explain too much when told that this and that has been brought up to the latest Accu-Sim 2.X standard.

Besides, why would a new and great, beyond-anything-thus-far thing need to be powered by another...thing? :)
