HOW TO GET B377 STRATOCRUISER WORKING IN V4/V5

Post by Adam Pestridge »

Once installed the P3D or FSX version into V5 P3D, FSUIPC is needed to fix the rudder issue and have the B377 grace the skies once more.

1. Simply head into the Joystick Calibration section.
2. Click Slope in the Rudder section.
3. set a curve of -10 in the Response Curve.
4. Ensure the values are the same similar in the box and save "Profile Specific" in Axis Assignments for the B377 only.
5. All done. Enjoy the flights now.

The rudder fix works like a charm. A bit bumpy on the runway on take off but so far all seems to work ok.
Ryzen 7 5800X3D liquid cooled, OC to 4.5 ghz, Radeon XFX 6900XT Black edition, 2 tb M2 drive, 32 gb ddr4 ram, Asus Hero Crosshair VIII mother board, and some other stuff I forget exactly what.

Hiya, which version of FSUIPC are you using please and how do you control the rudder? By pedal or stick?

I am using the version of FSUIPC for p3d and I control the rudder with Satik rudder pedals

As far as I can tell all the flight controls work as they should. The landing gear and flap animations work but the door animations don't although when you try to open the doors you get the message that say exit opening and the baggage vehicles come to the cargo doors. The Stratocruiser page for loading fuel and passengers (space + 4) does not work but if you use the P3d fuel and payload page the results show up on the space + 4 page.

I tried at length these last few days with Adam to try and get it to work in v5 for me, but the rudder glitch still clung on. So I just ended up reinstalling P3Dv3 and using the B377 in that instead. Works beautifully, all the sounds and effects along with COTS!

In addition to what Bullfox has found (which I can confirm) the autopilot turn handle does not appear to function. The AP will hold a course and altitude but not turn.
