Re: Info for Lewis
Hey Tug,
thanks for the update. That's not too shabby at all to be fair, and with a GPU or RAM update as time permits I would think will keep you happy for a fair while!
Have you made the change from intel to AMD CPU with this system?
Thats the change I made with a recent system update and it still feels weird to be on an AMD CPU again after being Intel since the Core2 days, but oh my word the speed of these things, so nice
cheers,
Lewis

Ron is a bloody sod isn't he
I am curious though, what did you upgrade from to the new Ryzen? The AMD CPU's havnt really been the greatest until Mr Ryzen came knocking at the door and then blasted its way through with a big stomp on Intels plans to be market leaders with the current gens haha Last AMD I had before this one was probably a 3200XP during my student years.
cheers,
Lewis

Re: Info for Lewis
Bought my last computer in 2009 AMD 2.8 gig 8 meg ram running windows Vista only upgrade was a video card that would still run on that system. So this system is a wee bit better than the one that the hard drive craped out in.Lewis - A2A wrote: ↑13 Sep 2021, 05:16 Ron is a bloody sod isn't he

Re: Info for Lewis
My system is a Ryzen also.
Budget Cyberpower from Best Buy
Ryzen 5 3600
32 gig DDR4 3000 (came with 8 gig)
240 gig SSD
2 TB HDD.
I saw huge difference after increasing my RAM
Next upgrade: 1TB NVMe Drive.
Future Upgrade. A better GPU. Although this RX 580 hasn't had any trouble yet. I would like to go nvidia. I am tired of random CTDs when the atioglxx.dll conflicts with my RXP GTN trainer.

Re: Info for Lewis
Aye mine is my first ever pre-build, I opted to go with cyber power. I went all out used all my PC savings for what I hope to be an Ok for years and years to come system. I just dont have the time to build my own anymore. My experience so far has been really good, system arrived on time, it was a custom build and all working ok. Fingers crossed it stays this way haha
cheers,

Re: Info for Lewis
I'm sure you will do well with that system. When my son was in school his friends would bring me a tower and a box of parts that they had bought online and get me to put it together and set it up for them. With all of the changes over the years I couldn't keep up with them so now I just buy what I can afford at a computer store. My very first computer had a huge16 gig hard drive and the newest small floppy installed. That was back when you could install a game that was huge being on 4 or 5 floppy disks. Oh and dial up internet.Lewis - A2A wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 07:43 Aye mine is my first ever pre-build, I opted to go with cyber power.
