Issues with A2A aircraft and the Bravo Throttle Quadrant

Post by Dreamsofwings »

Hoping someone who has already switched to the Bravo might be able to give me some pointers because I am baffled by this one.
(I am using FSUIPC6)

I have retired the old Saitek Quadrants and got the Bravo. For some reason the mixture is behaving very strangely in the sim.

Default (Carenado) Commander, Maule etc I get full response and mixture lever matches in sim.

For the A2A V35B 100% of the lever travel on the Bravo translates to 50% lever travel in the sim
Same in the T-6
For the A2A Spit I get no response at all.

Would anyone have any ideas?

I can do a botch job fix by sending the inputs direct to FS rather than via FSUIPC calibration but the problem with that is that Honeycomb axis are reversed so I need to use the FSUIPC calibration to send it back the right way.

I have gotten around this issue by assigning the Bravo mixture axis in P3D itself having deleted the assignments in FSUIPC. That seems to have provided a fix from what I can see.

in FSUIPC you need to assign it as FSUIPC calibration, then go to the calibration tab and there you need to untick the reverser option so you get the full axis support.

Hi Marc, yes that’s exactly what I was doing (used to do similar for my Saiteks) but for some reason still would take for the A2A aircraft. For the defaults, it worked a treat. One of the reasons I was baffled
Possibly something between FSUIPC6 and Accu-sim. Didn’t have this issue with the Saiteks though.

Haha, glad to hear you got it sorted, I was reading through this and about to message you to send you the way of this thread in case you both had a similar issue with the bravo.

cheers,

Ah interesting, will have a look at that. Got it fine working as an assignment through P3D itself now but would be good to resolve in FSUIPC.
