Hi,

All in the title...

Is the entire A2A fleet compatible?
Thank you and Regards,

Richard.

You can try it out, if you experience any problems you can always go back to 5.1 with the client installer.

I have tried to load the Comanche and find the cockpit way to dark. Even darker then in P3D5.1. Any planes to get this better?

Dark cockpit is usually attributed to "Enhanced Atmospherics" being enabled. It would be up to LM to balance this out. Not sure aircraft devs have any direct control over this.

If you don't mind, I'd rather have an answer from the team...

Thank you.

In the opinion of the beta testers, there are now new settings in P3D that solve/mitigate this problem.

Some guys over at Avsim are reporting frame rate problems with 5.2. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks before going to 5.2.
Ryzen 7 5800X3D liquid cooled, OC to 4.5 ghz, Radeon XFX 6900XT Black edition, 2 tb M2 drive, 32 gb ddr4 ram, Asus Hero Crosshair VIII mother board, and some other stuff I forget exactly what.

It has been said that deleting the shader cache fixes that.

I installed the v5.2 Client last night. I still don't like the enhanced atmospherics mode so no gain for me there and I keep it off. My test flights were brief so I don't have an opinion yet. I've only flown the Cub and the default GA aircraft, and neither in VR or with Active Sky on. So far I'm not seeing a reason to NOT install 5.2.

Well, my good reason is that v5.1 works very well for me with great frame rates, so until I see something about v5.2 that appears to offer substantial improvement over what I have now, I'm good...

Cheers,

I only meant that it didn't break v5 for me. But I'm also not seeing any reason TO install it either, based on how I use P3D. The change log lays out a bunch of improvements that don't affect me. So, there's that too.

I am probably going to go to 5.2 but I'll give it a few more days to be sure.

I might wait for the hotfix, they almost always release one shortly after.

Active Sky for P3D has a beta update for 5.2. It's necessary for AS_Connect to work properly.

In my single flight using updated Active Sky, it seemed there was more atmospheric haze in the distance. Cloud visuals may have improved also. (I don't use the Enhanced Atmospherics option in P3D.) Test is not conclusive.
