No need for an LVar, just use the default controls:

C66025,0 ;// -{MAGNETO_LEFT}-
C66023,0 ;// -{MAGNETO_OFF}-
C66024,0 ;// -{MAGNETO_RIGHT}-
C66026,0 ;// -{MAGNETO_BOTH}-
